But,bytheendof2004,TheUnicornshadbrokenup,leavingAldenandJamietogotheirseparateways.Fiveyearsandmanyadventureslater,however,theyfoundthemselvesbackin“lavilleauxcentclochers”,livingonlystreetsawayfromeachother. Intheinterimyears,AldenhadexperiencedaspiritualreawakeningasamemberoftheBahá'íFaith.Uponimmersinghimselfinitsscripturaltradition,herecognizedanimplicitmusicalitytotheWritingsandbegancomposingmelodiesthatwouldelucidatethislyricism.ItseemedonlynaturaltoincludehisfriendandcollaboratorJamieinthisexperiment. PracticesessionsatthelocalBahá'ícenterbecameaweeklyoccurrence,andwereopentoanyonewhowantedtoplay.TheregularseventuallycrystallizedintoTheHiddenWords,withNeahplayingcello,MarieClaireonviolinandvocals,andthebrothersFarronsecondguitarandaccordion.BenthenjoinedonthetromboneintheSummerof2011whileEricleftthecityforstudies.
