简介：1957–BorninRome,firstsonofPieroMartiniandMirandaMartelli. 1965–Undertheinfluenceofhisfather,involvedinjazzandclassicalmusic,hestartedlisteningtoswingbandsandjazzplayers(CountBasie,DukeEllington,WoodyHerman,EllaFitzgerald,BillieHoliday,ColemanHawkins,LesterYoung).Inthesameyear,whileinBuenosAireswherehewaslivingwithhisfamily,helistenedforthefirsttimetoaBeatlessong,“Hardday’snight”. 1970/72–InthisperiodhediscoveredthemusicofVanderGraafGenerator,SoftMachine,Can,GratefulDead,PinkFloyd,TimBuckleyandPopolVuhandmanyotherrockbands.It’sarevelation! 1973–Hestartedstudyingfluteandthenclarinetwithprof.StefanoMonti(TeatroallaScala)andprof.GiovanniIuliano(EnsembleGarbarino).FirstinterestincontemporaryjazzandFreeMusic(ArtEnsembleofChicago,OrnetteColeman,AnthonyBraxton,AMM,EvanParker…). 1977–Firstexperiencesinjazzandrockbands(MarcoVolpeQuartet,AvantgardeTrio,Topinervosi,ecc). 1980–ClarinetplayerintheCanterburyrockbandMutaMetu,conductedbyRobertoKriskak. 1984–TogetherwithAngeloAvogadri,RobertSaleri,MarcoMarchettiandRobertoGigliottihefoundedtheZintGroup,anavantgarderockband.Thebanddidmorethen100concertsinItalyandrealizedtheLP“CurveandCrane”(MuseaParallele).Sixyearslaterthebandsplitup. 1985/94–Collaborationwiththe“Auditorium”musicalmagazine,writingreviewsandarticles.DuringthisperiodheworkedalsowithLa1919andMassimoGiuntoli.Recordingsandconcerts. 1994–ContactswithGiancarloLocatelli,TitoMangialajoRantzer,AlbertoBraidaandCarloVirzi,musiciansinvolvedinFreeformmusic.
