TheideaofHexfireappearedinthethreemindsofJacobLiszko(guitar),LucasLiszko(vocal)andMichaelBadocha(bass),longbeforethebandwasactuallyformed.ThreeguysplayingatonetimeinthebandcalledDragonscalebutknowingitwastimetomoveon.Aftermonthsofthinkingaboutwhatthebandsmessageandsoundshouldbe,theygatheredtheirideasandin2009Hexfirewasborn.TheconceptofthebandnameHexfirewasconceivedtobethe “TheFireofRedemption”inthelastdaysofmankind;thefirewhichwouldassisttoredeempeoplebyrealmusicwithintentcausingthemtothinkinwardlyabouttheirlifeandtheworldaroundthem. Attheendof2009,guitaristVitoldUstapiukandkeyboardistPeterSikorajoinedHexfireandthebandfoundit’sfulllineupandbeganimmediatelywritingpowerful,groundbreakingsongstocontributetothis,theirdebutalbum.Intheirmission,themenbornoffireweresupportedbyateamofwellknownmusicianswhoguestonTheFireofRedemption(NiclasEtelavuori(Amorphis),Novy(exBehemoth&Vader),AlexHolzwarth(RhapsodyofFire,Avantasia),JonnoLodge(Biomechanical,exPaulDi’Anno),Diego‘Grom’Meraviglia(exAncient,Doomsword),KasperGram(Manticora),MartinArendal(Manticora,WutheringHeights),andKristianLarsen(Manticora).
