History ThebandwasinitiallyputtogethertocreatethethemefortheAmazonseriesonBBC2."Ferreting",thetracktitle,wasalsoreleasedontheSongsforSurvivalcharityalbum. Afterworkingonthe"Ferreting"track,theycontinuedtoworktogetherinMagneFuruholmen'sstudioinNorway,andcreatedmoretracksthatwereperiodicallymadeavailableontheirMySpacepage. Theyalsomadeawebsite,throughwhichtheyreleasedvariousvideosandsongsnippets. OnNovember30th,theyreleasedthefirstofficialtrack,"ElectricEye",fromtheirupcomingalbumthroughtheirwebsite. Apparatjikwillmaketheirveryfirstliveperformanceattheeleventheditionofclubtransmediale,anannualfestivalinBerlin,duetotakeplacebetween28thJanuaryand7thFebruary2010.ThisfirsteverperformanceofApparatjikwilltakeplaceinsideaspeciallyconstructedcubeattheWMFonMonday,February1st,2010.Onthesamedaywillseethereleaseoftheirdebutalbum,titled"WeAreHere". Aswellas"ElectricEye"and"Ferreting",thesongs"Datascoller","FrozenFingers"and"SnowCrystals"havealsoenteredtheirwayintothepublicdomainpriortothereleaseofthedebutalbum.
